For just 47 cents, you can change a child's life forever!
47 cents per day or $170 per year will change the life of a child in Guatemala. That is less than half the price of a cup of coffee! For $170, a child will receive the opportunity to attend school. They will receive a back pack, school supplies, uniforms, shoes, tennis shoes, socks, a belt, and a nutritous breakfast each day. In addition, they will receive tutoring, basic English classes, and emotional support.
Reachout Ministries is a non profit faith based organization that provides educational support and a Christian witness to poor children and their families in Chiquimula, Guatemala. For many children in Guatemala, an education is a privilege they do not have. Due to unemployment and extreme poverty, their families are unable to provide the uniforms and supplies that the children need to attend school. Working with a local church, Iglesia Dios De Pactos (God of Covenants Church), Reachout Ministries is providing the support for these childen to attend school. In addition to the material support, they receive tutoring to help them succeed academically. They also receive classes in basic English to prepare them for advancement to higher education. At the same time, the children receive emotional and spiritual support from the local staff of Reachout Ministries. They have contact with supportive adults several times a week. Teachers have reported that they have seen significant changes in the children from being shy and fearful when they enter school to becoming happy, confident, and successful learners with the help of the Reachout Ministries staff.
